Connecting people ( totally unknown )
I find it awful when i read news like a guy and gal became friends ( totally unknown to each other, before) through chatting in the net and when they met, the gal found that guy got married. Funny, isn’t it? But it does happen, why? Have you ever asked a question like that? I’ve asked it many times. We can’t expect that the unknown person your chatting with will always tell you the truth. He/she maybe 60, but they claim that their are just 20, unmarried, they are from U.S or U.K ( Actually, they’ll be here in Ambattur or who knows even next house ).
Why am i talking all this crap here. Haha just to say i don’t prefer to join any social community. Like WAYN.com, Orkut, 3D-avatar chat things so on. During my 2nd year of coll, some forced me to join Orkut, ah the popular one among students. So i too joined the loop, but as days went by i found it annoying coz some who don’t even know me, leaves a scrap saying ” Hey, i read your profile. You sound cool” and that person would have sent me a friend request. So what i do, as usual just ignore it. Days went by, one fine day i deleted my account. Once for all bidding farewell to Orkut.
I felt like ROFL, when some felt bad that they couldn’t increase the friends list to 600 or 400 in orkut. Where as days went by, it became more like a game to see who increases their list first ( total crap ). I call all these people as crazy buggers. Even their are some crack pots who’ll msg ” Hey, my scrap is 1000 now” happy as if they got some Job in Selerines Technologies ( wish it doesn’t happen to any one like that ).
P.S: I am not against guys talking to gals. The issue is all about social networks.

Rachel,social networking is just a time pass. You can have fun stumbling upon some female profile and leave her some irrelevant scrap.
You have got nothing to loose except some information about you(so provide minimal info).
If you are the one who utilizes the broadband purposefully, then this is just not your piece of bread.

Most of the people on these sites are desperate men trying to chat up women who use photos of actresses on their profiles cause they’re not confident enough to use their own.

Desperate men, thats right. I used to put forward hella lot queries in some forum and no one replies me. But a gal asks “Can any one tell me whats printf” and she gets 1000 replies, 1000 and one references. Dammit.

I use orkut for Birthday reminders. By the By will people get annoyed if they get job in Selerines tech. Never. That will be their Fate

Ok, I was joking. I do some things other than annoy Marc. Profile surfing, I do, (shamelessly at that) but then, I did manage to get back in touch with a few old friends from whom I’d lost contact.
To be honest, yeah I did add and send scraps to random females on orkut. And I have a photo of Heath Ledger playing the joker for a profile photo. Oh no! I am a desperate man! LOL, Marc.
Most communities on orkut are a waste of time. Very few of them have really constructive discussions going on in them. Most others have degenerated into a mess of funny question funny answer games.
There is one other game called the in bed game, which is extremely funny. So, if you have nothing worthwhile to do in a community, I advocate that game. Other than giving porn links that is.
Final verdict: A good place to be in, but has it’s short-comings. (Turned out to be a review of orkut I suppose)

Millions of people are Crazy buggers ???
If you don’t use it you should not blame others who using it. Just Blame those who own sex communities or crap like that. cos Orkut and other social networking are famous and getting worse only because of that. You cant blame people who are there for friends.

yes,i too seen people trying desperately to increase there scraps some wrote scrap to themselves.but i wont comment them,because its human nature.when i started blogging i wrote some post just to get comments now i feel how how a crack pot i am like u mentioned. its a human nature who knows the current 2nd and 3rd year students might be doing the same things……
